About The Alc

We founded the Adaptive Leadership Community (ALC) in 2019 after hearing from business leaders who were looking for a supportive space to discuss their business challenges and navigate key topics like culture, leadership, transformation, executive support, and operating models.

The Event

Transformation is a dynamic and disruptive undertaking, but we seem to unconsciously default to the status quo in many of the enabling design decisions we make when we view the scope of transformation as being about introducing new constructs such as squads, tribes.

But what happens when we don’t tackle the existing constructs that have always driven organisations?

In July’s ALC, we will explore the less talked about decisions (and their alternatives) that go into Transformation design and the inflexibility we unwittingly inherit when we don’t challenge the status quo.

We will discuss Transformation & the equally important role of Business Agility:

  • Leadership lift and shift v a spill and fill
  • Static (BRUF) Organisational Design v fluid, adaptive design
  • Traditional Funding models v participatory budgeting
  • Functional role design that offers no flex v operational role design that move with changing missions

Target audience

The ALC is a safe and supportive space for leaders to support
each other with the challenges they face in modernising their businesses. It is designed for business leaders - Heads Of,
General Managers and Executives. It is not for agile practitioners, consultants, contractors, service providers or salespeople.
