Facilitation Mastery with AI
Most organisations do not need more meetings. They need better ones. Facilitation Mastery with AI helps leaders, managers, and delivery professionals design and run sessions that create clarity, drive decisions, and enable action. Learn practical facilitation skills, manage group dynamics, and use AI to improve preparation, synthesis, follow-up and meeting effectiveness.
Overview
Facilitation Mastery with AI is a two-day practical course that helps participants design and run meetings, workshops and group sessions that produce clearer outcomes.
Meetings consume a significant amount of organisational time, yet too many create little more than discussion, loose alignment and another follow-up meeting. This course helps participants change that by building the facilitation skills needed to create clarity, participation, decisions and action.
Participants learn how to clarify purpose, design useful agendas, guide participation, manage group dynamics and help groups move from conversation to outcome. The course also shows how AI can support facilitation before, during and after a session.
Used well, AI can reduce the heavy lifting around preparation, documentation and synthesis. It can help draft agendas, sharpen problem statements, generate facilitation prompts, capture themes, summarise outputs and structure follow-up actions. Used poorly, it creates generic noise and false confidence.
The emphasis is on judgement. AI can help with the mechanics, but it cannot read the room, manage tension or surface what people are avoiding. Those are facilitation skills, and they still matter.
Audience
This course is for people who need to get better outcomes from groups.
It is particularly relevant for managers, team leaders, programme managers, project directors, delivery leads, change leads, coaches, facilitators, business analysts, product owners, scrum masters and anyone responsible for running meetings, workshops or group sessions where progress matters.
It is especially useful for people working in complex environments where work crosses functions, decisions require input from multiple people, and alignment is hard to achieve through normal meetings alone.
You do not need to be an AI expert. You do need to be willing to use AI practically, with enough judgement to know when it helps and when it gets in the way.
What you will learn
- How to design better sessions: Create meetings and workshops with a clear purpose, useful structure, strong questions and defined outcomes.
- How to use AI in preparation: Use AI to shape agendas, generate prompts, test session flow, clarify objectives and prepare materials more efficiently.
- How to facilitate with confidence: Guide groups through discussion, participation, alignment and decision-making without letting the session drift.
- How to manage group dynamics: Handle dominant voices, quiet participants, resistance, conflict, low energy and conversations that go off track.
- How to create stronger participation: Design sessions that bring different voices, needs and perspectives into the work, rather than relying on the loudest people in the room.
- How to ask better questions: Use questions to sharpen thinking, uncover assumptions, surface tension and move groups toward useful outcomes.
- How to use AI for synthesis and follow-up: Use AI-supported transcription, summarisation and action capture to reduce meeting administration and improve follow-through.
- How to facilitate online and hybrid sessions: Apply practical techniques for virtual and hybrid environments, where attention, energy and participation need more deliberate design.
- How to maintain human judgement: Understand where AI is useful, where it is risky, and why the facilitator still needs to read the room, manage tension and protect decision quality.
Booking
Facilitation Mastery with AI is available as both a public course and a private in-house programme for organisations.
